Groovy Girl Clothes

Ok, Christmas is just around the corner and I need a gift for my 3 and a half-year old friend Eeva. I gave her a Groovy Girl doll for her birthday last year, so I decided to knit clothes for the doll. You'd think there'd be patterns out there already in cyberspace, but alas no. So, I just kind of winged it. I'm pretty happy about how they came out:

Felted Cat Bed

posted by Caia @ 11:32 AM 0 comments

My recently-adopted kitten, Etta, was in DIRE need of a cat bed. I found this nifty pattern for one that called for felting. Cool! My first forray into felting -- at least for doing it intentionally. I did the sides of it differently than the pattern called for. I knitted it halfway up, about 3 inches and then purled it for another 3 inches and doubled it over. Then I sewed the folded over edge to the base, leaving an opening for adding stuffing.

Low and behold, she LOVES it! She sleeps in it every night. Is she an amazing kitty or what?
